Since 2010 the “Global Social Sciences: Hong Kong Initiative” project has attracted delegates to Hong Kong to address a range of global social issues, including education, urbanization, health, poverty, governance, etc., through a coordinated series of international conferences. This culminating conference goes further to explore the nature, dimensions and methods of trans-disciplinary social sciences which can identify and assess global changes, determine causal links between social problems in different societies, and propose solutions.
