Cultural Exchage Program (CEP) - Summer 2018

Program Dates
18 June 2018 to 16 August 2018 (9 weeks)
MUST commit the entire working period
MUST arrive on the exact date specified by Walt Disney World Co.
All HKBU non-final year undergraduate students
Pay Rate
$10.00usd per hour – All roles are non-tipped
• Participants are guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week
• Receive weekly paycheck

• Custodial

J-1 Visa
Participants are responsible for:
Cost of US Embassy/Consulate appointment (2017 cost was $190usd / 2018 cost to be confirmed)

SEVIS Fee to US Embassy/Consulate (2017 cost was $35usd / 2018 cost to be confirmed)
Medical Insurance
• Participants must obtain medical insurance for the length of the program from Lloyd’s of London (Details to follow)
Rent: $103usd to $137usd per week (depends on the complex and size of the unit)
$225usd Non-refundable Program Assessment Fee (one-time fee)
$130usd Housing Deposit to be paid at time of program acceptance
• All complexes are gated with 24-hour security staff
• Participants will share a bedroom with at least one other person
• Transportation to and from work is provided
• Participants must provide own sheets, pillow, blanket, towels
• Participants must provide own food in apartment and at work
Participants are responsible for round trip airfare to and from the United States
Participants are responsible for their own transportation from Orlando Airport to their Apartment Complex Front Office (approximately $30usd)
• Participants must arrive on the exact date specified by Walt Disney World Co.
