Plan for your Experiential Learning

    Social Sciences undergraduate students are free to plan for their off-campus or experiential learning journey according to their interests depending on the flexibility of their curriculum, except those required courses offered by the departments to their major students.


Suggested Period - Summer breaks / Year 3 or 4 of the study

To maximize the learning outcome and match up with the curricula, students are suggested to take the off-campus learning programme during:

  • summer breaks, or
  • the 3rd or 4th year of study

Experiential Learning in Action (w.e.f. 2019/20 Intake)


Experiential Learning in Action (Community and Civic Engagement / Global Outreach) is a required component for Social Sciences undergraduate students with effective from 2019/20 Intake. Students are expected to plan for their experiential learning journey in their Year 2 study, who can participate in the learning activity the earliest during the summer preceding Year 3. Detailed arrangement will be announced in due course.
