Social Sciences Internship (SSI) is part of the scheme of the One Semester Off-Campus Programme (OSOC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. It is a strategy in applied learning and a structured programme developed and supervised by the Faculty in collaboration with Partner Organisations, to provide various off-campus learning opportunities for all undergraduate Social Sciences students.

Semester 2, 2016/17 internship

  • Arrangements of SSI Events on Bad Weather [Attention!]
    Students should take note of the following arrangements and act accordingly:
When Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above Hoisted / "Black" Rainstorm Warning Signal Issued
Arrangement of Events
Between 6:15am and 10:59am
SSI events commencing at or before 1:30pm will be cancelled
Between 11:00am and 2:59pm
SSI events commencing at or before 6:00pm will be cancelled (e.g: a 1.5-hour workshop which runs from 2:30pm-4:00pm will be cancelled)
At or after 3:00pm
SSI events commencing after 3:00pm will be cancelled (e.g: a 1.5-hour workshop which runs from 4:30pm-6:00pm will be cancelled)
  • All SSI events which are in progress will be suspended immediately when Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted.
  • All SSI events in session will continue until the completion of the sessions when 'Black' Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued.
  • Remarks: Arrangement of make-up events is to be confirmed. Please stay-tuned for further announcement via email.
